NIDCR Mentored Career Development Award to Promote Diversity

Application Links

Program Description

The purpose of this award is to enhance the diversity of the independently funded dental, oral and craniofacial research workforce by providing mentored research experiences for eligible postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty who are from groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in the basic and clinical biomedical, behavioral, and social sciences.

The expectation is that, through this sustained period of research career development and training, awardees will launch independent research careers and become competitive for new research project grant (e.g., R01) funding or other sources of independent research support.
