The Dental Clinical Research Core supports investigator-initiated clinical research to develop state-of-the-art diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic interventions for dental, oral, and craniofacial diseases.
Dental Clinic & Consult Service
The Dental Clinic and Consult Service offers oral evaluations and care by board-certified specialists to manage and characterize diseases of the dental, oral, and craniofacial complex.

Dental Clinical Resident Program
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (WHC) has established an Oral Surgery Training Rotation Program in collaboration with NIDCR at the NIH campus. This program provides WHC residents with unique training and educational opportunities in oral surgery and clinical research.
Dental Clinical Research Fellowship
NIDCR offers a clinical research fellowship to dentists interested in an academic career. An independent clinical research project with relevance to human disease or health is the focus of the fellowship.
