Integrative Biology & Infectious Diseases Branch

The Integrative Biology and Infectious Diseases Branch, part of the NIDCR’s Division of Extramural Research, coordinates basic and translational research programs in oral microbiology; salivary gland biology; oral immunology; oral, oropharyngeal, and salivary gland cancers; orofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders; mineralized tissue physiology; dental materials and biomaterials; and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Branch staff develop, coordinate, and implement an overall agenda for basic and translational integrative biology and infectious diseases research and act as liaisons for the NIDCR extramural research community.
