Dr. Chiayeng Wang serves as the Director of the Oral and Salivary Cancer Biology Program at the Integrative Biology and Infectious Diseases Branch, NIDCR. She received her Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from University of Calgary followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in Molecular/Cell Biology at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School. Wang joined NIH after 21 years with the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) where she was a professor with the Center for Molecular Biology of Oral Diseases and Oral Biology Department, with a secondary appointment in the Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. At UIC, her research explored the roles of growth factor signaling network in early embryogenesis and chromosomal translocations in pediatric cancer pathogenesis. Prior to coming to NIDCR, Wang served as a NIH scientific review officer in the Surgical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging, and Biomedical (SBIB) Integrated Review Group at the Center for Scientific Review.
