Two NIDCR-supported resource centers—part of NIDCR’s Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Tissue Regeneration Consortium (DOCTRC)—are soliciting pre-proposals for their Interdisciplinary Translational Project (ITP) programs. The one-year awards of up to $150,000 will enable ITP teams to access and collaborate with a resource center to establish technology readiness toward submission of IND/IDE applications to the FDA for therapies in the dental, oral, and craniofacial realm.
The two-page pre-proposal applications are due on July 27, 2018.
The two DOCTRC resource centers aim to drive promising dental, oral, and craniofacial tissue engineering and regenerative medicine technologies toward human clinical trials. Both resource centers use similar criteria for project selection, but application forms are specific to each center.
- The Michigan-Pittsburgh-Wyss Resource Center (MPWRM Resource Center) is a partnership between the University of Michigan, the University of Pittsburgh/McGowan Institute, and Harvard University/Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering.
- The Center for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Tissue and Organ Regeneration (C-DOCTOR)represents a partnership among several California institutions.
Both resource centers are now accepting pre-proposal ITP applications from teams and investigators from U.S. and foreign academic/non-profit institutions and from U.S. for-profit entities.
ITP applications may be submitted to either resource center under the current solicitation, but not to both.
