Regarding the NIDCR Dental Public Health Residency Program (First year of DPHR fellowship)
The NIDCR Dental Public Health Residency Program will be visited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on November 2, 2023, in accordance with the Commission's policies for periodic evaluation of accredited programs.
The Commission is accepting comments regarding the program's adherence to the Accreditation Standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Dental Public Health. We invite communities of interest and the public (such as faculty, students, program administrators, specialty and dental-related organizations, and consumers) to provide their comments regarding the performance of this program directly to the Commission by September 2, 2023. The third-party comments will be used to assess the program's qualifications for accreditation. In addition, the comments assist the program in assuring that it complies with the accreditation standards for the discipline and the required accreditation policies.
All comments submitted must pertain only to the standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Dental Public Health or policies and procedures used in the accreditation process. Comments will be screened by Commission staff for relevancy. Signed or unsigned comments will be considered. For comments not relevant to these issues, the individual will be notified that the comment is not related to accreditation and, where appropriate, referred to the appropriate agency. All relevant comments will have names and/or signatures removed and will then be referred to the program at least fifty (50) days prior to the site visit for review and response.

Comments should not be sent to the Commission office via the US Postal Service.
The deadline for the third-party comments is September 2, 2023 (60 days prior to the site visit).
