Program Description	Program Description A comprehensive, 12-month research enrichment program for research-oriented medical, dental, and veterinary students. Student scholars engage in a mentored basic, clinical, or translational research project on the NIH campus that matches their professional interests and career goals. Each scholar has an assigned tutor (year-long advisor) and works with an approved research mentor.
Application Due Date	Application Due October 1 - January 5
Eligibility	Eligibility Medical students participate after 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year. Dental students generally participate after 2nd or 4th year, due to integrated nature of clinical years. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. Good standing in medical, dental, or veterinary school. Applicants in their 4th year who are selected must make arrangements with their school to defer graduation until completion of MRSP. 4th year students participating in the National Residency Matching Program during the application cycle are ineligible Candidates currently enrolled in Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. programs are ineligible.
