Biographical Sketch
Faye Chen, Ph.D., serves as the Acting Chief of the Research Training and Career Development Branch, where she manages institutional training, career development, and fellowship awards.
Dr. Chen joined the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in 2026. Prior to that, she served as Program Director for the Clinical, Integrative Physiology, and Rare Diseases of Bone Program at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. In her role as a Program Director, she has managed several research portfolios, including fellowships, career development awards, institutional training grants, research project grants, cooperative agreements, center grants, and conference grants on topics spanning basic, translational, and clinical research including epidemiology and multicenter clinical trials.
Dr. Chen came to NIH from academia, where she was an assistant professor and head of the Biochemistry Section in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University.
