Event Description
The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research is in the process of developing its Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2027–2031 and is seeking input from the research community and other interested stakeholders to help inform the institute’s future strategic directions. NIDCR will host two virtual community webinars to support engagement with its Request for Information (RFI), Inviting Comments and Suggestions on Topic Areas for the NIDCR Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2027–2031 (NOT-DE-26-015).
The mission of NIDCR is to advance fundamental knowledge about dental, oral, and craniofacial (DOC) health and disease and translate these findings into prevention, early detection, and treatment strategies that improve overall health for all individuals and communities across the lifespan. NIDCR’s new Strategic Plan will guide the institute’s work over the next five years to fulfill that mission.
During each webinar, NIDCR leadership will:
- Introduce the process for developing the next NIDCR Strategic Plan
- Outline the high-level topic areas
- Answer attendees’ questions
Both webinars will cover the same material. Participants may attend either session.
Participation in a webinar is not required to respond to the RFI. Formal comments in response to the RFI must be submitted electronically using this form by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 14, 2026. Responses are voluntary and may be submitted anonymously.
