Event Description

NIDCR and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) invite you to a joint 75th anniversary symposium: Celebrating the Science That Unites Us.

In its 75 years of driving cutting-edge science, NIDCR has propelled research on topics such as the oral microbiome, pain, health disparities, oral cancer, tissue regeneration, craniofacial development and genetics, and the biology of saliva and the salivary gland.

NHLBI’s 75th anniversary celebrates numerous achievements and collaborations in heart, blood, lung, and sleep research; millions of lives saved and improved; and the many scientific pioneers who have worked tirelessly to improve public health and to save lives.

Celebrating the Science That Unites Us will showcase NIDCR’s and NHLBI's collective past successes. Attendees will learn about NIDCR's and NHLBI's histories; notable accomplishments in heart, lung, blood, sleep, and oral health; and the science that unites the two institutes.
