All NIH-funded clinical investigators and clinical trial staff, as well as NIH staff, who are involved in the design, conduct, oversight, or management of clinical trials can learn about the requirement to be trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP). GCP helps assure the safety, integrity, and quality of clinical trials by addressing elements related to the design, conduct, and reporting of clinical trials. GCP training describes the responsibilities of investigators, sponsors, monitors, and institutional review boards in the conduct of clinical trials. NIH offers GCP training modules to help clinical study and NIH staff meet the expectation of training in Good Clinical Practice. Completion certificates are awarded after registrants successfully complete the module.
