Program Goals

  • Provide hospital-based training in dentoalveolar surgery and craniofacial/orthognathic surgery.
  • Immerse residents in cutting-edge clinical research related to the dental, oral, and craniofacial complex.
  • Publish high-quality research and mentor residents for future leadership in academic OMFS and research.

  • 76 days over two years at NIH Clinical Center (PGY2: 16 days, PGY3: 60 days)

Oral Surgery Training Rotation Program (Washington Hospital)

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (WHC) has established an Oral Surgery Training Rotation Program in collaboration with NIDCR at the NIH campus. This program provides WHC residents with unique training and educational opportunities in oral surgery and clinical research.
