Craniofacial Development Resources

FaceBase
An NIDCR-funded consortium designed to encourage collaboration among craniofacial researchers and accelerate craniofacial research by developing, integrating, and disseminating large datasets to the wider research community. The consortium’s research projects and resulting datasets are described on the FaceBase website, as is the process for obtaining the data. Access to FaceBase datasets is provided without cost to the scientific community.

A trans-NIH genotyping service to support studies aimed at identifying genes that contribute to human disease

Mouse Resource for Craniofacial Research
A comprehensive resource at the Jackson Laboratory providing mouse models for facial, dental, eye, ear and skull development research, as well as mouse models of human craniofacial syndromes such as cleft palate
